Make the most out of your week

Morning jewels. I’ll start by saying happy Monday πŸ˜ƒ glad to be alive! On this side and being seen yet not viewed. We’ll start by looking at Monday as a new beginning and not the end of the weekend. Let’s dig in.

Start your week on Sunday evening, not Monday morning. Usually, Sunday evenings are spent lounging, doing crossword puzzles and getting lunches ready. Now that’s it’s summer, the kids are up a little later and eating cool things. Implement a bedtime of about 10 or 11pm if you engage with a movie 🍿🍿 night! Also, prep non cooking lunches and dinners. Long cook times equal dishes. Not my friend.

Light exercise πŸ’ is self care. Some yoga by an outdoor pit or just in the den with the fan on, helps you sleep πŸ’€πŸ˜΄ even better! Wake up Monday morning feeling brand new and wanting to keep doing stretching exercises throughout the week. You’ll thank me later!

Journaling or reading makes your brain less tired in the morning. Once you start a habit or new things, 21 days it becomes a meaningful habit! Again, start routine(s) Sunday night for a beautiful week!!!

Get a pretty notebook. Look at my Pinterest boards for ideas! Pinterest: queenC2u

NOW, everything can’t get crammed into a night, but you can create life changes any day of the week. As long as it becomes a fulfilling activity, the family may join in.

Lastly, eat as a family as much as possible! Sunday was made for family! Sit down, no phone, no politics. Just eat and laugh! Make sure the food is good ☺️ and enjoy.

Knowing what you have to do for the week will make it productive. Instead of throwing everything on the line AND NO lists, you may be doomed. I try to do my best and write it down. Blogging helps too! I hope this finds you guys thinking what’s next and handle it ALL. On a Sunday evening πŸŒ† or a Thursday night!

Peace ✌🏾 and blessings lovies 🀩

Great weekend fun!

Hi y’all! It’s Saturday and the kids are all played out! Took them to the park and the water toys were in full swing.

Kharina, Neriah and Curtis

Thanks to 100+ degree days, living here makes you decide if it’ll be a pool day or play in the den day. Sometimes, we go out due to an errand; it better be important! Or things get done by 10 am. After 11 am until 8pm the weather guys suggest you stay indoors. The UV index is way too high between that time. My kids have adjusted accordingly.

So much going this week and I’m going on and on about the heat. GOD gave us shade, so we shelter in place as much as possible!

Go Snoopy go go go!!

Stay cool, blessed and safe! The 4th is coming up. Prayers for the nation and the world. Until next week, peace ✌🏾 and blessings 😌

Potato salad and a new month

Happy Memorial Day 🎊 y’all!

As we wind down the month of May, we reflect on those whom we lost and those whom we remember. I was in the Navy and a proud veteran. I lost my dad when I was 5 and remember Memories of BBQ, nostalgia and ice cream. My dad never let us forget about his own dad and mom who passed away. As I reflect on his service and pride, I make potato salad.

Yum

Learning at an early age that everything revolves around food. We cook to come together and enjoy each other’s company. Some say a family that eats together, stays together. True true.

Wednesday is June 1 and Father’s Day, then Independence day on and on. Looking forward to more sun and cold drinks, beach trips and lazy afternoons in the yard. Let us not forget how we obtained out freedom and liberty.

Sometimes, it’s not free or fair. My daughter graduates tomorrow morning and another post will be available. Let’s celebrate πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ everyone who got us here and keeps going to get us where we need to be. Love you all, later ✌🏾

Aww May!

Hi lovies! Sunday marks May 1 and I am overwhelmed already! May 1 has two important birthdays, May 2 my second oldest daughter and then rounding out the week on the 7th my youngest daughter. Whew 😬

Saying ALL that to say THIS, life is short and it is meant to spend it with the ones you love. Life doesn’t care about you or your way of living. Life will turn a curve ball and inform you that this is not a test.

As I close to get balloons and flowers ordered, I’m reminded of what would I have been doing without children and my family. I’d probably be just leaving the Navy on retirement and seeing what’s next. Scratch that! I love my life! Determine to live it to the fullest and don’t let no one take your shine!!!!!

Until next time y’all peace πŸ•ŠοΈ

It’s out there on the ocean

Evening lovies. I feel so refreshed πŸ˜ƒ I went for a walk to the neighborhood store with my husband. We talked and evaluated ALL of our current situation.

Buying a house, waiting for the new job to call, kids birthdays, graduation!!!! I feel like I’m going to explode!! Oh, but just past the horizon, I see it where the sun sets, my destiny.

Again worth protecting and thriving for IS worth working for. Keep going and don’t stop! It’s out there, on the ocean. Until next time, stay blessed jewels 🌞

The difference

Sunday officially pits me at a halfway point of my fast I started in March 4. The house has agreed to not eat the following; meat of any kind, fish and sweets. Sweets consist of candy and white flour products.

Indulgence is always lurking….just so you fall and get back up. What if you stay at it? Don’t fail and continue to not stray? Good questions, especially when kids leave home for school. That’s where praying comes in! Anoint your children and loved ones before they leave home. Even a swipe of oil on their bag or something, take the Lord everywhere. Stay girded and focused on the prize!

I strive to do my best and stay in His arms. Striving for more and fasting gets me closer to what He wants me to be focused on. My plan is cool, but it can’t work without Him!!

Stay vigilant lovies 🀩

Matthew 17:21 (KJV) “Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.”

Midweek refresh

Happy Hump day y’all! Spring has sprung and here come the heat! Meaning, the kids will be asking for pop-sicles and ice cream after school! So, besides shopping and getting cool, look at the aspects of eating healthy.

As y’all know, I’m in Lent season and that means eating healthy and lean is on and popping until Good Friday, April 15th. The kids and hubby don’t know they eating good! Slips in tumeric in the spaghetti!

It’s short and sweet today, but my Pinterest boards are laced with good food and how to keep living your best life!! www.pinterest.com/queenc2u

Enjoy the week, jewels**********

Hi

Hello. I’ve been trying to get this up for the last 3 to 4 years! I got remarried and living in COVID. So, I’m getting the bugs out and so thankful for the quiet in the morning! House with kids going to junior and high school, I’ll take every bit of woosa!!! More will come soon as I work and keep notes to perfect this! So, let’s do THIS πŸ‘πŸΎ y’all Thanks for reading!!

QUARANTINE!

As we sit at home and try to adjust to becoming home school teachers, better cooks and the like. My kids don’t feel as if being home with their parents is a bad thing…they enjoy the three meals and four snacks throughout the day! My husband sees this as us reconnecting and having time to reflect. I reflected as much as I can with these four! My other daughters come over on the weekends; they create a house of laughter and light until Sunday night.

Sometimes, we see the glass as half full, not half empty. Thankful, kids are resilient without question! I’m going have to write about what me and the mister are doing while we are on lock down, I like it!! I’ll also see about adding links for some Pinterest stuff I cooked and done since I can’t go anywhere. I don’t want this entry to be too short, but I’m getting back into writing and glad I can do this and continue to share with you guys the joy of family!
